The Studio

A working portrait studio in East London

The studio is based at Leyton Studios in East London and is used for commissioned portraits, weekly life drawing and figure painting sessions, and occasional painting retreats.

It is a working space rather than a public gallery — calm, practical, and designed for sustained concentration. The information below is intended to help you arrive comfortably and know what to expect on the day.

My Studio

We are a 7 minute walk away from Lea Bridge Station. Our studio is situated with an Argall Industrial Estate. Please call or message ahead of arrival to ensure there is someone there to greet you.

Facilities

The studio is equipped for extended sittings, classes, and day-long sessions, with practical facilities in place to ensure comfort throughout the day.

Toilets

Clean toilets with multiple cubicles are available on site.

Changing

Privacy screens available. Some visitors prefer to change in the toilet cubicles.

Kitchen

Kitchen facilities are available, including a fridge, along with tea and coffee.

Wifi

Wi-Fi is available in the studio.

Climate & comfort

Air-conditioned for year-round comfort. A light layer is recommended in cooler months.

Nearby cafés & amenities

Several cafés and food outlets nearby, typically open on weekdays.
