The journey of commissioning a portrait is a deeply personal and meaningful experience, culminating in the delivery of a cherished painting. However, the delicate nature of portraits demands careful handling and meticulous attention to detail to safeguard your investment. Here’s what you need to know about portraiture delivery:
Patience is Key
Before embarking on its journey to your doorstep, the portrait must be fully dry. Rushing this crucial step risks compromising the quality and longevity of the artwork. Patience ensures that your portrait arrives in pristine condition, ready to be admired for generations to come.
Delicacy Demands Care
Portraits, with their intricate details and delicate surfaces, require gentle handling to preserve their beauty and integrity. Every precaution must be taken to ensure that your investment arrives safely and unharmed.
Robust Packaging
Robust, soft packaging is essential to shield the portrait from potential damage during transit. Protective foam and sturdy wooden packaging provide a cushioned cocoon, safeguarding the artwork from bumps, jolts, and other hazards encountered during transportation.
Studio Collection
For many clients, collecting the portrait from the artist’s studio is the preferred option. Not only does this provide an opportunity to see the painting for the first time as the artist intended, but it also allows for a personal connection and appreciation of the creative process.
Alternative Delivery Options
If studio collection isn’t feasible, we offer alternative delivery options to accommodate your needs. Within the London area, we’re happy to personally deliver the portrait to your doorstep, ensuring a seamless and secure handover. For clients outside the London area, we can arrange for a special courier service. However, please note that special courier services are at the client’s expense.
At every stage of the delivery process, our priority is to ensure the safe and timely arrival of your portrait, allowing you to enjoy and cherish your investment for years to come. Your satisfaction and the preservation of your artwork are paramount, guiding our commitment to excellence in every aspect of portraiture delivery.
